BIO
Doi Kim (b.1995, Seoul, South Korea) is an artist based in New York and Seoul.
She received her M.F.A. from the School of Visual Arts (New York) in 20121 and his B.A. from the Korea National University of Arts (Seoul, South Korea) in 2019 and studied printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts (Prague) in 2017. Kim is a 2024 NYFA IAP cohort, an SAGA Member since 2023, an awardee of the Outstanding Achievement Award from the 2022 Tripvill International Film Festival, as well as a grant recipient from the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture in 2022. Solo exhibitions include: 17717 (Seoul), ChaShaMa Space (New York), and space xx (Seoul). Selected group exhibitions include: Susquehanna Art Museum (Harrisburg, PA), Manhattan Graphics Center (New York), Sage College (Albany, NY), Ethan Cohen KUBE (Beacon, NY), Stone Leaf Retreat (Eddyville, NY), College of Central Florida, Webber Gallery (Ocala, FL), Untitled Art (Miami, FL), Rear Window Gallery (Hangzhou, China), and Gallery AVU (Prague, CZ). Kim has been an artist-in-residence at ChaNorth International Writers & Artists-in-Residence Program and SÍM Residency. Her work has been featured in Create! Magazine, Li Tang, Munhwa Il-bo, Seoul Shinmun Daily, Sisa News, and Korea Herald.
